2023 Scholarship Winners

           Gonzalo A. Gonzalez Memorial Scholarship           

Gonzalo A. Gonzalez, son of Gonzalo and Gloria Gonzalez, was a violinist in the Summer Creek High School Orchestra. Gonzalo brought great energy and enthusiasm to the orchestra room as a leader in his section. Graduating in 2017, he later attended the Honors College at Lone Star and then transferred to the University of Houston where he was majoring in Marketing. When not at work in the family business, he found joy in photography, filming videos, and caring for his beloved German Shepherd. Gonzalo passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2019 at the age of 20.

In 2020, the Gonzalo A. Gonzalez Memorial Scholarship was created to be awarded to a graduating senior of the Summer Creek High School Orchestra. Due to the generosity of the Gonzalez family, the scholarship is for $1,500.

The 2023 winner of this scholarship is Kaitlyn Nguyen.

      Texas State Optical-Fall Creek COBO Scholarship      

The Texas State Optical - Fall Creek Scholarship is made possible by a generous donation from Dr. Alexander Chen and Dr. Melanie Leung. Texas State Optical - Fall Creek, located at the northeast corner of Wilson Road and Beltway 8, has generously provided funds for this scholarship in the amount of $500. The Creek Orchestra Booster Organization wishes to thank them for continuing to provide a scholarship for a graduating senior for several years.
